Having two wings, the hotel also offers two styles of guestroom. The Bauer rooms are very elegant and display elements of the Venetian style, with soft furnishings and lighting. The en suite bathrooms are bright, fully tiled (floor and walls) and generously sized. The Il Palazzo guestrooms, by contrast, are a little more opulent, with gold fixtures, though still in keeping with the Venetian style. Though the rooms in the hotel do, as previously mentioned, vary slightly in terms of size and décor, they can cater for all tastes. Regardless of which part they’re situated in, they’re equipped with a mini bar, safe, flat screen satellite TV, bathrobe and slippers, air-conditioning and a phone. There’s also WIFI in all rooms.
The Il Palazzo wing has its own private breakfast room on the top floor, looking onto a roof terrace, which offers stunning views of the city, up and down the Grand Canal, across the lagoon and over the many famous buildings. Guests can dine here during the summer months. This feature gives the Il Palazzo a bit of an edge over the Bauer. In addition to the main building with its two wings, there’s a smaller annexe neighbouring the hotel, called the Bauer Casa Nova, which offers additional accommodation.
