Antico Panada Hotel

I stayed in one of the rooms that has not yet been refurbished and was not impressed (though my friend was in a refurbished room and that was much better) However, I can put up with wallpaper coming off the walls, a bathroom door that cannot open fully and a very cramped room - if the service is good. Sadly this is not the case at the Antico Panada. The staff member at reception when we booked in was one of the unfriendliest and most abrupt I have ever come across - I don't think he made eye contact even once. We may have been unlucky with the particular staff member on duty that day but then even one such staff member is indicative of something lacking in management so I won't be staying there again. I am pleased this was not my first experience of Venice!

Location is brilliant. Room was quiet and had excellent facilities. Service at breakfast was great. Reception staff were always polite but never friendly.
