The hotel is located close to the Fenice Opera house and the major attractions, such as St Mark’s Square and the Rialto Bridge, though it is a little tricky to find!

The Duodo Hotel has a spacious lobby, which features traditional Venetian décor, with polished marble floors, original ceiling beams and two large chandeliers. To the rear of the lobby there is a private water taxi entrance. There is also an Internet terminal just off the reception area, allowing privacy, although WIFI is also available throughout the public areas. A lift takes you to the 38 guestrooms, which are also beautifully decorated in the Venetian style. The standard doubles are good sized and all have a mini bar, safe, satellite TV, air-conditioning and phone. The bathrooms are attractively appointed in marble and the majority have a bathtub and shower. There is one disabled room. The hotel offers a shared water taxi service, with pre-arranged times, so guests can enjoy use of this facility at a more reasonable cost. There is a small American bar area close to the lobby. Resembling a private gentlemen’s lounge, it is once again decorated in the Venetian style. The bar is open from 4.30 pm – 11.30 pm. There are also two breakfast rooms: the larger one opposite the bar is bright and airy, while the other decorated in warm, red tones. A hot and cold Continental buffet is available from 7.00 am – 10.30 am. This is a charming hotel with friendly welcoming staff, although accurate directions are a must in order to find it.
