Very friendly & efficient staff...slightly dissappointed with the size of the room however, it was perfectly adequate for the amount of time we spent in it (which was not that much as there is so much to see in Venice!!)Location was perfect, central but quiet
Top Tip

Very central hotel, with really helpfull & frendly staff. Would recomemmend this hotel to my friends, and if we were back in Venice we would love to stay in Liassidi Palace again.

We found the mulano glass factory really great to see- but the people working there were a bit on the pushy side- beware!

The hotel is situated in an ideal location - within minutes of St Mark's Square. Excellent service and support from hotel staff. Room was very comfortable.

Local restaurant "Roberto's" very good value with friendly service. Take private water taxi to and from hotel. Expensive but worth the convenience.

This is our 3rd visit to the Liassidi Palace, each visit gets better.

Restaurant Rivertto close to the hotel is excellent, try the starters suggested by the waiter they are worth it. Try to eat where the locals go.

Nearly went mad having same tape of James Bond music to accompany breakfast for the 3rd morning in a row. Fortunately it was changed on the 4th

Al Covo - restaurant with very refined food particularly fish in Campiello della Pescaria just off Riva degli Schiavone. Quite expensive.

Our room was very nice with full bath, however our daughters room [double with single occupancy] was small, shower only and only 100 euros less. I would not like to have stayed in it with my husband and paying full price. On the plus side the location was very quiet

on arrival we were offered an upgrade at an extra cost. We were shown the original room, which was very small and dark, and a nice bigger one, which we took, but I do think it was a bit of a racket as they were obviously not going
to show us a very nice room to compare, and we ended up having to pay extra money for a room of the standard we would have expected.

One of the 2 rooms booked (room 303) had a very low ceiling, about 2 metres in height and this was a mirror ceiling, which was unpleasant. This was the only one in the hotel but we felt it should have been at a lower rate. The hotel said it was a standard room. I asked why they used it when the hotel was not full, particuarly as we were staying 5 nights. They replied it was full but I did not think so.I would recomend that when you make bookings you specifically request not this room.Reception staff were very helpful and courteous. The breakfast room staff were
not. The breakfast was poor. We were very pleased with the quiet location.
Top Tip
Get water taxi from airport to hotel waterside entrance. Get 3 day ticket for water buses for unlimited use.
Restaurants in DK eye witness guidebook were good and worth travelling to.
Dont book Doge Palace less than 3 working days of departure.
Best time to go round St.Marks 1.30pm. Long queues in the morning.
