The hotel boasts an ideal location on the Grand Canal, opposite the magnificent Chiesa della Salute church and only a minute or two on foot from San Marco Square. The entrance from the street side is unobtrusive and you must look out for the signs on the pavement marked "Regina Hotel," pointing you along a narrow alley to the courtyard, which is home to the main entrance. This hotel has the added bonus of a private jetty for guests arriving by water taxi.

The Westin Europa & Regina is a regal hotel and its atmosphere is one of a refined elegance. This is immediately obvious upon entering the huge marble lobby, which features tasteful seating and quiet decor. The main lobby leads you to the reception desk and concierge on the left and the bar and restaurant on the right. From the back of the lobby you can access the rest of the hotel. Originally the property comprised five separate palaces dating from the 18th & 19th centuries. These have now been connected and form two wings, Europa and Regina (hence the name). The whole hotel is bright and modern, but with a Venetian influence. For guests with their health and wellbeing in mind, it offers the use of the "stretch room" for gentle exercises, including step aerobics, workout balls and yoga mats. Those who look for a more vigorous workout can make use of the state of the art exercise machines in the "workout room." Wi-fi Internet access is available throughout the public areas of the hotel and guests may also take advantage of the high speed Internet access in each of the guestrooms. A large lounge area, ideal for reading or using as a meeting point with friends, is just off the bar area and offers an opulence found in few other places. Not only does this hotel offer guests a luxurious stay, but the facilities at its sister hotels are also at the disposal of every guest. This includes the complimentary shuttle service during the summer months to the Westin Excelsior on the Lido, where you can take full advantage of the beach-front location and swimming pool, whilst also enjoying the 30 minute ride across the lagoon.
