The Donà Palace Hotel is housed in 15th century Gothic-style palazzo, built by the patrician Trevisan family. It was originally called the "Palazzo San Basso." Its name was changed to "Palazzo Donà" when it became the home of the Donà family, who were among the elite Doges of Venice. The main façade is enriched by two huge "quadrifore" (typical Venetian windows with four arches) overlooking the "Rio Palazzo Ducale", the canal of the famous Bridge of Sighs. The lobby is medium sized and furnished in a simple but fine style with a comfortable seating area. The guestrooms, also medium sized, are pleasantly furnished in the Imperial style with soft moquette upholstery. The restaurant serves both regional and international cuisine.
