A narrow but attractive staircase leads up to the small reception desk of the Lux Hotel. The floors in the reception area are marble and the walls are panelled with polished wood. There is no lift in the hotel. The 17 decently sized guestrooms are decorated in a traditional Venetian style. There are up to 5 rooms that can be adapted into triples, and 3 rooms that can become quads. The rooms situated on the top floor have original wooden beamed ceilings. All rooms are equipped with mini bar, safe, TV, phone and air conditioning as standard. The bathrooms have tiled floors and walls, lending them a bright, clean appearance. Breakfast is a cold Continental buffet, served from 8.00 am – 10.00 am next to reception in a small seated area, which decorated in the same style. There is a small bar in this area too. A cosy Venetian hotel with a great location and rooms of decent quality, this is a good base to explore the city.
