The San Giorgio Hotel is housed in the wing of a Gothic palazzo which once belonged to the Pesaro family and which was later bought by the artist Mariano Fortuny y Carbó. Today the palazzo also houses the Fortuny Museum which features many of the artist's works including his stunning lamps made of printed and painted fabric.
